Christmas, 7 months old, mobility

The day after our last blog we drove back home for Christmas. It was so wonderful to see everyone that we did. Lily still has a lot to learn about unwrapping presents, but I'm sure she'll pick it up for next year. There were several presents that she really enjoyed, but I think she liked people paying attention to her the best.

It's been a couple weeks, but Lily turned 7 months old. Where has all this time gone? She's almost 8 months old! Turns out that being older doesn't make her like taking naps any better.

Speaking of Lily getting older, she just hit another developmental milestone: crawling! Before, she had gotten around by rolling, pivoting on her hip, and dragging herself/pushing with feet. She was super-excited about getting to look at the laptop on the ground during a video chat with her Grandma Betty. I kept having to move the laptop further away. January 1, she saw the vacuum in the middle of the room and went after it. Finally crawling! Of course, she did her best crawling right before we could get the video recording. Her increased mobility has made changing her diaper interesting to say the least...
